Gaspar Miras has conveyed his congratulations to the new agents in this new professional stage and stressed that "The profession you have chosen is vocational and within each one of you is the objective of serving the citizen and helping our fellow men." He has also wished them luck and encouraged them to act conscientiously and to value all the situations they face with strength and empathy. Since 2008 no appointments were made, thus reflecting the shortcomings of recent years regarding the safety of the municipality. Currently, the Local Police has a canine patrol at the disposal of special services and is working on increasing resources through drones.
