A total of 80 works have been presented for a new edition of the Poetry Contest "declares-te" now in its fifth edition in the form of students and the fourth edition in the category of adults.
Organized by the Department of Libraries of the City of Mazarrón, "declares-te" is aimed at students enrolled in high schools in the municipality and adults registered in Mazarrón.
Of the 80 entries received, 65 were students and 15 adults.
Of the 65 students, 57 are from the IES Domingo Valdivieso, IES Antonio Hellín 5, 2 and 1 job Siglo XXI IES Felipe II.
The competition coincides roughly annually, with the dates of the feast of St. Valentine and under that framework is to encourage literary creation in the municipality.
For editing school students work consist of a poem and have love as a theme.
The awards consist of a tablet priced at 200 euros and diploma for the first prize, a smartwatch watch valued at 150 euros and diploma for the second and a voucher for 75 euros and diploma for the third best work.
The jury is made up of teachers of Language and Literature of secondary schools in the municipality and members of the Department of Culture.
For editing adults registered in Mazarrón, the theme of poetry has also been the love.
The awards consist of boxes valued at 200, 150 and 75 euros experiences.
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday February 19 at 20:30 at the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón.
