The current president of the Association Musical Maestro Eugenio Calderon, Francisca Ureña Sánchez, received the award Sunday 2016 Women Mazarron for their social and cultural institution at the forefront of this work.
The delivery of this recognition took place in the Hall of the Cultural Center in the presence of members of the municipal corporation, representatives of the various associations that have participated in the appointment of the nomination and numerous neighbors.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, presented this award from the City Council, at the initiative of the Department of Social Policy, together with the associations participating in the election: Red Cross, Association of Housewives Almazarrón, Merchants Association Mazarrón and Shire, union UGT, Ademur, Caritas Puerto, Asodimaz, Making a difference and New Rumbo.
Jiménez highlighted the extensive curriculum Francisca Ureña who devoted much of his professional life to adult education work.
Since 2002, the current Mazarron woman chairs the Association Musical Maestro Eugenio Calderon.
A set of the band accompanied the event with the performance of three instrumental pieces.
Another aspect to highlight Mazarron Women this year has to do with their cultural interests and their involvement and commitment to the improvement of the municipality, reflected in his stage councilor for two terms.
That was reflected in his speech in which he expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the previous Mazarron women.
Acts of the International Day of Working Women
During the weekend there have been several events organized to mark the International Day of Working Women.
On Saturday March 5th, the Day Center hosted a workshop talk entitled "The pleasure to be recognized" and the Sunday morning many families participated in a hiking route coves Bolnuevo.
The events continue on Tuesday March 8 at 12:00 pm in the Town Hall Square with reading the manifesto, by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.
At its conclusion will take place an institutional picture.
