The Councillor for Tourism of the City of Mazarrón, Maria Angeles Roman, filed Monday with the Tower of Bolnuevo Horses tourist routes program of the new season.
Mazarrón expand its offer to 80 free routes, including new places to visit, tours in English and an attractive program of visits enoculturales wine linked with the history of the municipality.
The draft tourist routes was introduced over ten years ago in Mazarrón and is included within the program of free visits that promotes the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, with the City of Mazarrón which presents a wider offer both the number visits and variety.
The visit program underlines the vast natural, cultural and ethnographic heritage of Mazarrón and offers an alternative entertainment to visitors, not only in the summer months.
The offer includes cultural tours, hiking, boat trips and ethnographic routes.
There will be three visits per month in March, April, November and December, five in May, June, September and October and five routes a week in the months of July and August.
As a new five cultural tours are offered in English and expand high demand routes such as the visit to the mines or boat trips.
Registrations can be made up to seven days before the visit on the web www.visitamazarron.com and, for the first time on the website of Murcia Tourism.
Enoculturales routes
One of the great innovations of this year will be enoculturales routes.
An attractive program of visits with tasting that wine culture linked with the history of the municipality, all contextualized in trade that over the centuries have had Mazarrón protagonist.
These enoculturales visits will be developed through four key areas: Marquess of the Vélez, Kingdom of Murcia, mining and sea.
Through these axes history of Mazarrón it will travel from its Phoenician and Roman origins, through the Middle Ages and arriving at mining splendor of the nineteenth century.
They will be held wine tasting in historic sites such as the town hall, the Archaeological Museum of Roman fish salting factory and sites linked to the sea.
As a presentation Monday at Town Hall a wine to which were invited to the municipality restaurateurs offered.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, wanted to be present to promote this initiative which will more attractive to project the tourist offer of the municipality.
