Juan Madrigal, director of the Office of Social and Economic Promotion Environment, held Friday in premises of the City of Mazarrón a meeting with the first deputy mayor, Pedro Martinez and the Councillor for the Environment, Isabel Maria Lopez.
During the meeting, they evaluated the possibilities of declaration of Bolnuevo Gredas as Natural Monument, on the basis of its geological significance and natural values.
Juan Madrigal has confirmed that this will develop, together with the City of Mazarrón, a proposal to be submitted for consultation and public information.
The above proposal will continue the regulatory procedure until approval by the Governing Council by decree.
The director of the Office of Social and Economic Promotion Environment under the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment, noted that there were already some studies processing before those who have incorporated new data provided a more detailed knowledge of the geological and fossil sites that own the place information.
