The director general of Transport and Ports Coastal Region of Murcia, Mazarrón visited Salvador García Ayllón to maintain a working meeting with the mayor, Alicia Jimenez and Councillor for Agriculture and Fisheries, Maria Isabel Lopez.
During the meeting the mayor conveyed some of the needs presented by the municipality in terms of ports.
One of them is framed in a project that proposes to use the fishing port and tourist resource element.
"We're a tourist town and fishing port activity can be used as attractive making it visitable. In that sense we shuffle a project in conjunction with the Fishermen's Association," said Alicia Jimenez.
5,000 euros to the Brotherhood
Manuel Sanchez, new larger pattern of the Fishermen's Association of Puerto de Mazarrón, received from the mayor, Alicia Jimenez, a prize of 5,000 euros for the development of tourism resources in the fishing environment.
Sanchez showed his support and decision to collaborate with the City Council and the Directorate General of Ports.
More security and surveillance in the fishing port
Another issue to be discussed at the meeting with the director general of Transport and Ports Costas was the need to increase security and safety in the fishing port with the future installation of video surveillance cameras.
