The technical services of the General Directorate of Roads have carried out a series of actions cleaning margins and ditches to improve drainage within 10 kilometers of various regional passing through the town of Mazarrón roads.
The Director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez, accompanied by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, has overseen the actions taken on the road RM-332 (Mazarrón-Puerto de Mazarrón), RM-D6 (Mazarrón-Bolnuevo) and RM- 607 (Mazarrón-road RM-3).
Fernandez highlighted the work of maintenance, adjustment and maintenance carried out by the regional government on the roads of regional ownership to "ensure good reception, channeling and drainage of water that may directly affect the functional characteristics of any element integral via".
The work consisted mainly in the weeding, organic resources and waste dumps located on the sides of these roads, in order to prevent it would clog gutters and drainage work properly.
To this end, it has resorted to manual cleaning and the use of machinery vibrating grid, for subsequent transfer to an authorized organic waste and weeds in ditches and berms deposited landfill.
The action includes the placement and removal of marking necessary for cutting a traffic lane as a safety measure to carry out the works, including placing traffic signs to order.
The total amount of these works amounts to about 9,000 euros.
