Mazarrón City Council will have a Department of Animal Welfare, joining other pioneers consistories in this as Santiago de Compostela, Valencia, Burjassot or Segorbe.
This new office will be held by the mayor of Equality and Social Policy, Laura Ortiz.

The creation of this new council is part of a modification of the delegations held by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.

Thus, Isabel Maria Lopez is with the delegations of Agriculture, Fisheries, Local Police and Heritage.
Francisco García Asensio play the departments of Foreign Relations and Environment.
Finally, Maria Angeles Roman, delegations will hold Personal and Health that adds to the departments which already owns Tourism Coastal Services, Employment and Local Development.
