Mazarrón host next Thursday a technical seminar for introduction of subtropical fruit on the coast of the region, organized by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment and the local council.
At the meeting early experiences of subtropical crops in Mazarrón, the potential of subtropical fruit growing, cultivation of mango and papaya variety of commercial varieties in papaya, its sexed by molecular marker techniques and genetic improvement in emissions will be discussed and markets and mango marketing.
In addition, a cooking demonstration will be live culinary applications papaya.
The conference will be part of technicians IMIDA, the District Agricultural Office Fuente Álamo-Mazarrón, the University of Almería, Catholic University of Murcia, Mazarrón Town Council, experimental station Palmerillas, SAT Trops, Seeds Caribbean (Mexico) , SP Laboratories, EBT and Group Capital Genetic Fernández López.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 15:15 pm in the Cultural Center Mazarrón, with limited capacity.
