The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia, at its meeting on Wednesday, Mazarrón decided to grant the distinction of "entrepreneurial city" for the policies that are being developed in the area of ​​support for entrepreneurs.

Next to Mazarrón have also received this distinction the municipalities of Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras and Totana.

The distinction recognizes the annuity corresponding to 2015 activity.

In a statement, the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia notes that this appointment was the result of a detailed analysis of the measurements made by the corporation and highlights Mazarrón as a regional benchmark in terms of support for entrepreneurs and businesses.
