The waters of the Bay of Mazarrón open this Sunday the Second Circuit Regional Swim across Long Distance (Seaman Challenge) organized by the Masters Swimming Club Murcia and with the collaboration of the City of Mazarrón.
The circuit consists of five sets, the first of which takes place in Mazarrón this weekend.
Finally they have exceeded expectations and are 56 registered swimmers to participate in the test Mazarrón.
The origin of the participants is diverse, being an important volume of swimmers from the province of Alicante, although there are also participants from Madrid, Albacete and Granada.
The test will start in the Azohía with two outputs, at 09:00 and 09:15 hours.
Participants will travel 8 kilometers away there to the beach of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The arrival is expected between 11:30 and 12:00 hours.
The awards ceremony will take place at 12:30 in the Plaza of the Autonomous Communities.
The II Regional Circuit (Challenge Seaman) was presented Thursday in San Javier with the assistance of Councillor for Sports City of Mazarrón, Patricio Sanchez, who accompanied José Miguel Luengo, Mayor of San Javier, driving institution, alongside the Club Master Murcia, which began last year.
Patricio Sánchez wanted the high number of swimmers who have registered to participate in the test of Mazarrón, which is incorporated for the first time this regional circuit.
Sanchez wanted to highlight the wide possibilities offered by the coast of Mazarrón for water sports.
After Mazarrón, the second round will be held on May 1 with two tests 3 and 8 km from La Manga to the island failed and Vuelta.
The third leg will take place on May 22, leaving from the port Tomás Maestre to Grosa island, where will departure to Ant Island, covering 10 kilometers.
The fourth leg will have two tests 6 and 10 kms, from Cabo Palos return to Ant Island, on June 5.
The last and longest is 14 kilometers and cover El Portus, Cape Tiñoso and La Azohía, on June 26.
