The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the operation 'GATOR' research aimed at arresting members of an active criminal organization, based in Mazarrón, dedicated to the sale of drugs in youth environments, which has resulted in the arrested eight people on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses, against property, attack on law enforcement and belonging to a criminal organization.

The investigation began late last year when the Civil Guard detained three young people, minors, for allegedly authored several robberies in homes on a popular urbanization of Mazarrón.
Following these arrests, the researchers found that the stolen items were receptados exchange for narcotics, by third parties on which the investigation was initiated.
The evidence obtained in this phase of the research have allowed to find out that the criminal group, now disbanded, had a clientele relatively young consumers, which had caused some alarm among parents and teachers from schools in the area, with which the Civil guard have held numerous interviews.

In order to locate and arrest those responsible for such criminal practices, the Meritorious has coordinated various monitoring devices and research that has been the location of two domiciles in Puerto de Mazarrón, where it was found the frequent movement of people some of them minors.
The inhabitants of one of these homes is also a suspected drug dealer with numerous criminal record for similar facts, also identified as the author of a robbery with violence and intimidation in which a young man slightly injured.
The result of the research has been made known to the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Totana, who has ordered the entry and search in individual homes, where they have been seized 613 grams of hashish, 38 grams of marijuana, 20 doses of cocaine, mobile phones, knives, useful for dispensing and sale of drugs, numerous stolen items, 1,300 euros in cash and Moroccan, Peruvian and Bolivian currency.
Operation 'GATOR' has culminated in the arrest of eight people seven men and one woman, aged between 24 and 36 years of Moroccan nationality and sub-Saharan to which are attributed the alleged perpetrators of the trafficking offenses drugs, stolen goods and membership of a criminal organization.
A woman also is credited with the authorship of the crime of attack on law enforcement, a fact that occurred during house searches.
The detainees, seized effects, the drug and the proceedings have been delivered in the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Totana -Murcia-.
