The Museum of Mazarrón Factoría Romana Salting held on Saturday the International Museum Day with a concert in their facilities, plus a full schedule of events that took place in the centers of the museum such as the Tower of Horses bolnuevo and Interpretation Centre Phoenician boat.
This year the theme of this international date is "Museums and Cultural Landscapes".
Mazarrón joined this celebration with the intention to defend the cultural heritage and environments that surround and foster a respectful development.
The Roman fish salting factory, under the Department of Heritage, organized with the collaboration of the cultural association the shuttle.
Pedro Martinez Pagán, Councillor for Culture and Mayor Maria Martinez, director of the Museum and Historical Heritage municipal official, have highlighted the acceptance of this cultural offerings focused on a single day and in which different artistic disciplines were combined.
They were carried out guided by the visitable archaeological sites in Mazarrón, from the Interpretation Centre Phoenician boat to the Villa Romana del Alamillo visits.
In these places there were dramatization and stories for the whole family.
In the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Sara Guirado held an exhibition of dance.
La Banda del Pepo, encouraged the audience with the facade of the Church of San Andrés.
A video-art projection lit the Tower of Bolnuevo Horses where evening accompanied by a tasting of local products, enlivened with music by DJ conceptual M.Lacroix took place.
But it was in the Roman Factory Museum Salazones where was held the main event of Saturday night with the great performance of Abdon Alcaraz, a leading figure of modern flamenco piano who starred in the company of the singer Veronica cartagenera Nephews.
At the end of the concert, attendees enjoyed a meal.
