The municipality of Mazarrón will look its most photogenic to celebrate the first Summer Campus Fotogenio from 7 to 10 July, aimed at amateur and professional photographers, and will serve as a prelude for the next edition of Fotogenio side.
The campus, which will have a limit of 200 seats, was presented Thursday at the Cultural Centre by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, by the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Martinez and the director of Fotogenio, Juan Calventus.
At a news conference, Alicia Jimenez pointed out that the Summer Campus does not replace the regular meeting of Fotogenio, but will serve to whet your appetite for the next edition of the event in which you are currently working and which will be informing later.
Juan Calventus highlighted the important cache of the speakers who come to Mazarrón from 7 to 10 July.
They will be an even more didactic seminars and a much more limited capacity to ensure greater interaction between participants .. The programming Summer Campus will focus on the "portrait", and different ways of approaching it come from the hand of speakers from the Alberto García Alix likes of Javier Arcenillas, Chema Conexa, Alba Soler, Valentin Sama, VictorLax, Pedro Etura, Pepe Castro and Jose Antonio Fernandez, among others.
The portrait is one of the most specific to photography itself disciplines, and in the Summer Campus Fotogenio will be approached from different specialties: the portrait in social photography, documentary photography, photojournalism, personal and artistic work in the publishing and advertising photography ...
In addition on Sunday July 10, the last day of the Campus, a special niche is made to see the light a new member of the family of Fotogenio, it is Fotogenio Silver, dedicating seminars all day to photochemical photography.
Both technical aspects as to their feasibility and possibilities today as a form of artistic expression, or commercially as a tool for differentiating and singling photographic work.
Finally, people attending the Summer Campus will receive 3 credits approved by the Catholic University of Murcia UCAM.
The Photography will be installed in Mazarrón making its first stop this Summer Campus, a space four days full of knowledge, experience, meetings and coexistence that will be held at the La Cumbre Puerto de Mazarrón hotel.
The volume of assistance leading campus organization, say its organizers, will make others see hotel establishments occupied the town squares.
