The Roman fish salting factory of Mazarrón has been present one more year in the Tarraco Viva Fair hosted by the city of Tarragona and which brings together most museums and national institutions linked to the Roman history in Spain.
From 27 to 29 May a booth showed the greatness of the municipal archaeological past.
From this point to hundreds of visitors who showed interest in tourism in Mazarrón linked to its historical past reported.
Maria Martinez, director of the museum, appreciates the presence of Mazarrón at the fair in which he claims "have gathered very positive comments from people who in the past year have visited our town".
Tarraco Viva devoted an entire weekend to historical reenactments, workshops, theater, lectures and nearly 300 activities related to the Roman past of the peoples of the Iberian Peninsula.
The councilman of Culture, Pedro Martinez, stressed the importance of events like this as they pose for the municipality an opportunity to show and publicize its important archaeological heritage.
