The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, Councillor for Civil Protection, Laura Ortiz, the Red Cross president in Mazarrón, Carmen Navarro and the head of Municipal Emergency Service, Pedro Hernandez, have proceeded Tuesday the signing of the agreement that will allow to carry out the Plan Lifesaving Playas during summer 2016. in total there will be over 100 people who work in an operation that began Wednesday June 1 and ends on September 11.
Among the novelties of this year, the mayor has highlighted the installation of a new checkpoint at the end on the beach Rihuete and incorporating a nurse in one of the vehicles of the coordinators, during the months of July and August.
Carmen Navarro also has advanced part of the contents of a first aid campaign aimed at younger and will be presented shortly.
Mazarrón has a total of 16 checkpoints, 3 bikes rescue, 15 pirogues, a boat and 14 vehicles available to the human personnel that makes up the security operation.
Municipality with Special Distinction Lifesaving
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, stressed the investment effort, with regional support, which makes the City, close to 300,000 euros, to provide citizens with safe bathing and thus corroborate the only distinction in the Region of Murcia granted by Foundation European Environmental Education in which the work of Lifesaving and Rescue carried out on the beaches of Mazarrón is recognized.

From that date until June 30 will be open Saturdays and Sundays Rihuete positions, La Isla, La Reya, 1 and Bolnuevo Castellar, between 11:30 and 19:30.
From 15 to 30 June, on weekdays, will be open stalls Rihuete and La Reya, 11:30 to 19:30 hours.
From July 1 to August 31 available positions El Mojon, Alamillo, Rihuete, Port-Rihuete, Harbor, Island, Bay, La Pava Nares, Castellar 1 Castellar 2 Bolnuevo Camping, Bolnuevo Center, Bolnuevo Oasis and Percheles, from 11:30 to 19:30 hours.
And from 1 to 11 September will be working positions Rihuete, La Reya and Castellar 1 from 11:30 to 19:30.
Throughout the year, as well as in the rest of beaches without open positions, the Municipal Emergency Service, Civil Defense and Red Cross Mazarrón perform dynamic monitoring service.
