Rihuete beaches, Castellar, Bahía, Nares and Bolnuevo Reya Tuesday received the Quality Tourism Q flag in a ceremony that took place in Madrid at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and Councillor of Tourism, Maria Angeles Roman, attended this institutional event that rewards good management and commitment of municipalities responsible.
The event was chaired by Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego.
Mazarrón addition to the six flags Q for Quality Tourism seven blue flags and a special distinction in Lifesaving.
The municipality faces the summer with substantial improvements in facilities and services provided in each of the beaches.

The Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality in 2016 has awarded more than 250 distinctions.
The flags Q for Quality on beaches are a symbol of trust in local government.
The commitment is to improving daily to ensure the enjoyment of users in terms of cleanliness, safety, security and respect for the environment.
A flag with the Q Quality ensures daily cleaning of sand, information about the state of the sea, qualified lifeguards, signaling risk areas or limited swimming, etc.
In short, the Q flag means the council that manages the beach is fully committed to environmental preservation and responsible for everything done in the best way possible while respecting dunes, fauna and flora.
In addition, food safety is carefully monitored in the bars of municipal management.
