The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure build a gazebo in order to improve road safety and access to the sports city of Mazarrón.
This new infrastructure will replace the existing ordinary intersection type T and that is insecure for circulation, especially by the large number of vehicles that supports this part of the RM-332, with an average traffic of 14,000 vehicles a day.
The projected roundabout has an outer diameter of 68 meters and two lanes.
The project includes drainage ditches to ensure proper drainage of surface water and signaling and beaconing needed, as well as the landscaping and interior urbanization of the gazebo.
It is designed to be compatible with the future unfolding of this stretch of road.
The planned investment is 451,374 euros and the expected implementation period is 5 months.
The construction of this roundabout is the first step in the realization of the splitting of the stretch of 4 kilometers of the RM-332, which connects the Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón.
This work has a budget of more than 12, 2 million euros and an execution period of 15 months.
The project will include the construction of splitting service roads with bicycle lanes and lighting the entire stretch.
