The Festival "Portum Vita" landed next to the beach of the island to recreate a Roman town of 14,000 square meters, with simulation shopping streets, restaurant, market, playground and interpretation centers of life of ancient civilizations
From 19 to 21 August from 19:00 to 01:00 Esplanade Beach Island will become a Roman town with numerous activities and leisure to disclose the historical knowledge of Roman and Phoenician times a few meters from where the oldest submerged Phoenician ship found to date in the world.
Precisely a replica of a Roman ship will be one of the attractions of this I Phoenician-Roman Festival of Mazarrón organized by the municipality and Antikorum and has been presented Wednesday by the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Martinez and Antonio Vicente Carrillo, manager Antikorum .
The event, three days, is the first of its kind to be done and has to Mazarrón as a starting point for a national tour.
In a space of 14,000 square meters, "Portum Vita" recreate a Roman town with Phoenician presence and simulating shopping streets with craft shops, restaurant Roman times with menus own civilization and current children's area with educational workshops and small attractions.
There will be installed a Roman ship of 20 meters in length around which an interpretation center of Roman and Phoenician times be found.
