From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 August from 18:00 to 01:00 Esplanade Beach Island will become a Roman town with numerous activities and leisure to disclose the historical knowledge of Roman and Phoenician times a few meters from where it is dipped the oldest Phoenician ship found to date in the world.
Puerto de Mazarrón reaches the Festival Mazarrón Phoenician-Roman organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón and Antikorum.
The event, three days, is the first of its kind to be done and has to Mazarrón as a starting point for a national tour.
In a space of 14,000 square meters, "Portum Vita" recreate a Roman town with Phoenician presence and simulating shopping streets with craft shops, restaurant Roman times with menus own civilization and current children's area with educational workshops and small attractions.
There will be installed a Roman ship of 20 meters in length around which an interpretation center of Roman and Phoenician times be found.
