Students in 4th of ESO IES Domingo Valdivieso have been the first to experience the first days of practices referred to Water Sports Education Program which finances the City of Mazarrón in collaboration with the Sailing School Jewelry.
The initiative seeks to harness the resources of the Bay of Mazarrón, and the promotion of sport and respect for the environment.
The "halyard Everyone to the Sea!" Program
800 is aimed at students of 6th of Primary and 4th of ESO of all schools in the municipality.
The activity is integrated as a teaching unit within the subject of Physical Education.
The project begins with teacher training centers in the Sailing School.
Then monitors in schools and colleges give a theoretical class of 50 minutes which will carry sail material water sports to educate the students.
And in a third phase, the school will enjoy two days practice in water.
Finally teachers and students assess monitors, has just as indicated Cristobal Garcia, manager of the Sailing School Necklace.
On the Monday morning the students of IES Domingo Valdivieso have attended a workshop sailors knots and then divided into groups, have left the water to paddle with kayaking, paddle south and sail sailboat.
The experience has been very rewarding for all of them.
