The XXI Marcha MTB Mazarrón Bay did not disappoint and again a must for the more than 250 cyclists coming from different parts of the country and on Sunday gathered in Puerto de Mazarrón to enjoy a day of amateur sport touring the sites more highlights of the municipality.
Organized by the Cycling Club 9 and Media, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Mazarrón, the test added a total of 52 kilometers with a vertical drop of 1,250 meters.
José Manuel Cayuela, of GSport Valencia was overall winner of the absolute category with a time of 1: 58: 55: 06.
The second place went to Eduardo Barbero, 100% All Sport with a time of 2: 00: 11: 86.
While the third place went to Agustín Herreros Mazarron, the Phoenicians CC 2.0, with a time of 2: 01.31: 08.
Conchi Martinez was the first of the female participants to cross the finish line.
The Councillor for Sports, Patricio Sanchez, attended the awards ceremony held in the Plaza of the Autonomous Communities of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The mayor of the City of Mazarrón stressed the importance of this type of tests that help seasonally adjusted tourism in a fall weekend, for the benefit of shops and catering establishments.
