As every November 11 the British population residing in the Camposol urbanization has paid homage to its war veterans and members of the armed forces who died in service.
The "Armistice Day" is a landmark date for the residents of the United Kingdom commemorating the peace treaty that ended the First World War, signed on November 11, 1918 in France by allies and members of the German empire.
Next to the Garden of Memory, the British community of Camposol has celebrated the traditional religious service which culminated in a floral offering in which the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, the Councilor for Relations with the Foreigner, Francisco García Asensio and others participated Members of the municipal corporation.
Clothing and berets with decorations have returned to be present in a solemn act very respected by the different generations.
Not to mention the poppy as the main symbol that has its origin in the poem of John McCrae entitled "In the fields of Flanders" in which he mentioned the poppies that sprouted in the tombs of soldiers who had died in the Great War.
