The Center of Older People of Puerto de Mazarrón celebrates this month of November 24 years.
To celebrate, its partners have actively participated in an agenda of activities that has encompassed different disciplines and which has included as its main element an exhibition of great beauty dedicated to the sea.
The exhibition, which can be seen from this Friday and for a whole week in the first floor of the center, features characteristic elements of the marine world of past and recent times that speak of the marine connection of many of its partners.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, accompanied the elders of Puerto de Mazarrón during the celebration of this anniversary and has done so with the director of the IMAS, Miguel Angel Miralles, who did not want to miss the opportunity to visit, The facilities of a center that has more than 4,000 members.
Miralles has confirmed, in Puerto de Mazarrón, the announcement made by the regional president, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, related to the opening of the centers of majors on Sundays.
According to Miralles, "after the appropriate procedures", day centers will reopen the last day of the week "before summer".
For Alicia Jiménez this is good news as it extends a social service "that gives life to those who previously dedicated their lives to their different obligations."
Along with the mayor, the Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, members of the municipal government team and the director of the center, Alfonso Cifuentes, were also present at this anniversary event.
The interpretation of the Cora and a theatrical performance have completed this festive day.
