The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, have presented this week the new Mediation Service offered by the City Council in its two municipal offices of Social Services Mazarron and Puerto de Mazarrón ..
The mediation service is a resource that offers people in conflict the possibility of resolving their differences with the help of a third person, impartial and neutral (mediator), to reach an agreement that ultimately satisfies both parties.
Its objective is to avoid the deterioration of family relations and reestablish communication and prevent both parties from going to court.
This service is increasingly implemented and is aimed not only at couples or families, but also at neighborhood communities.
Mediation, as detailed by the mediators in charge of the service, helps to seek common interests that allow decision-making and consensus-building, as well as providing the parties with the skills necessary to self-manage their conflicts.
As a result it allows to minimize the emotional and temporary costs, thus avoiding judicial proceedings.
The service is provided in the Social Services office of Mazarrón, Calle San Antonio, number 12, next to Plaza del Ayuntamiento and in the office of Puerto de Mazarrón, located on Avenida Doctor Meca, on the first floor of the Shopping Center The piramid.
The opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
For more information you can call the phones of both offices: 968 339 361 and 968 153 313.
