The educational community, shops, associations of the municipality and the city council turned this Friday into a wide agenda of awareness activities that served to commemorate the International Day Against Gender Violence.
The programming developed by the Department of Social Policy involved all sectors of the Mazarron society.
The events on November 25th began at 11:30 a.m. with the Reading of the Institutional Manifesto, by the mayor of Mazarrón, in the Town Hall Square.
Then a "Drops of Balloons" mauve as a symbol of rejection of gender violence.
At 12:00 a.m., he proceeded to the "Presentation of the Activities of Sensitization of Secondary Students" with the participation of the students of the Century XXI Century and users of the Day Center of People with Disabilities.
At 13:00 a.m., Juan Antonio García, monitor of the La Aceña Gym, was in charge of the activity "Zumba por la Igualdad".
In the afternoon, at 19:00 in the Cultural Center, the students of the IESDomingo Valdivieso interpreted the play "If you want me, love me well". The programmed events closed the performance of the School of Dance of Juan Antonio Iglesias.
At the same time, the City Council, with the collaboration of the Association of Merchants of Mazarrón and Comarca (ACOMA), has wished to extend the campaign against gender violence to local businesses.
Those who participated in this sample of rejection wore a tie of mauve color in their establishments.
