Mariano Guillén inaugurated this Saturday with the Mayor of Mazarrón and the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez, the exhibition "Mazarrón: Historia Imaginada", a collection of works in which combines various techniques that make the viewer travel through the historical past of the Municipality, emphasizing moments or scenes in which are reflected the imagination and the restless spirit of Guillén.
Numerous public has filled the Plenary Hall of Houses Consistorial to witness the opening of a sample that consecrates the artist Mazarron in a historical space and increasing relevance as an exhibition and cultural room in the Region of Murcia.
The exhibition inaugurated this Saturday can be seen until January 28.
Visiting hours will be from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and afternoons from Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The room will be closed on 8 and 26 December, 2 and 6 January.
Mariano C. Guillén Riquelme holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Murcia, a Technical Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, a Diploma in Optics and Optometry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a member of the Royal Academy Alfonso X El Sabio from Murcia, Among other recognitions.
For two decades has been divulging the local past being numerous the publications in which it has participated or carried out.
From 1997 to date has published six volumes where part of the history of the municipality of Mazarrón is collected.
As a painter and draftsman he has carried out three exhibitions sponsored by the City Council, two of them located in the auditorium of the Popular University and a third in the church of San Andrés.
He was also cofounder of the group of plastic arts "Almagra".
