Jaime García Legaz, who until recently has been Secretary of State of Commerce, announces this Thursday the Festivities of Mazarrón in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
The current executive president of the Spanish Export Credit Insurance Company (CESCE) will intervene from 9.30 pm in the central hall of the Mazarrón Parish Center.
García Legaz, who has family roots in the hamlet of Cañadas del Romero, will be presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, who will give an account of the extensive curriculum of the town crier.
From 2011 to 2016, Jaime García Legaz was Secretary of State of Commerce for the Government of Spain, responsible for the promotion of Spanish exports and outstanding agent in attracting foreign investment in our country.
During his position he commissioned a State Plan for Remodeling the Plaza de Abastos in Puerto de Mazarrón.
The preacher of the Fiestas Patronales of 2016 is doctor in Economy by the Complutense University of Madrid and began his professional career in the banking in 1993. From 2008 to 2011 was deputy in the Congress by Murcia, playing the responsibility of Secretary of the Commission of Economy and Finance.
