Jaime García Legaz officially opened on Thursday the Mazarrón Patron Saints in honor of the Purísima Concepción with a proclamation in which he manifested the bond that has united the municipality since his childhood.
Who for five years was Secretary of State of Commerce of the Government of Spain has all its family roots in the hamlet of Cañadas del Romero.
García Legaz recalled José Antonio Muñoz, recently deceased mayor.

Prior to the proclamation, Jaime García Legaz was received by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and by the members of the municipal corporation in an event that took place in the plenary hall of Casas Consistoriales.
García Legaz signed in the Book of Honor of the Consistory and accompanied by the council of the City Council went to the Parish Center of Mazarrón where the proclamation took place in honor of the Patron, the Most Puritan.
There he was received by the parish priest of Mazarrón, Francisco José Hernández accompanied by the parish priest of Puerto de Mazarrón, Abel Rosa.
