On January 18, the Municipal Center for Elderly People traveled to Alicante and Alcantarilla, within the workshop called "Know your Region", which allows you to travel each month to a municipality in the Region of Murcia and neighboring provinces, to Know its history, gastronomy, customs and monuments more emblematic.
In this case, the elderly of the Day Center visited the city of Alicante, the old quarter known as El Barrio, Puerta del Mar, Explanada de España, the cathedral and the port, where they had a lunch in a restaurant.
Then they went to Alcantarilla to visit the Museum of the Orchard and its famous Noria.
The elderly of the Center of the Day, were very satisfied with this trip, since they could visit places they did not know before and know their monuments and sites of interest, as well as spend a fun day and coexistence with other elders. The next trip Within the "Know Your Region Workshop", is scheduled for Thursday 23 February in Murcia capital.
