Mazarrón and seven other municipalities in the Region of Murcia have recently joined the regional agreement for the development of the Housing Information System of the Region of Murcia (Sivmurcia), which will contribute to the geolocation of vacant dwellings.
Alcantarilla, Alhama de Murcia, Fuente Álamo, Mazarrón, Ojós, San Pedro del Pinatar, Totana and Yecla join the network of municipalities that are already part of this system promoted by the regional government, through which municipalities, through Their municipal water supply companies, facilitate the consultation and digital download of the supply data of the supply contracts for their interrelation with those of the cadastre.
Sivmurcia is a regional tool that collects and interrelates all this information in order to obtain the situation of the housing sector, and that serves as a basis for defining policies to guarantee access to housing.
Its main objectives are to know the areas with surplus or deficit of dwellings in relation to the availability of land, the evolution in their occupation and state of the planning and to obtain information on the state of the real estate park, in terms of their aging and conservation, and incorporate the Housing supply and demand information.
To date, a total of 37 municipalities have joined the Sivmurcia and collaborate with the Counseling in this matter: Abanilla, Abarán, Albacete, Albudeite, Aledo, Alguazas, Archena, Beniel, Blanca, Bullas, Calasparra, Campos del Rio, Caravaca de La Cruz, Cartagena, Cehegín, Ceuta, Cieza, Fortuna, Jumilla, Las Torres de Cotillas, La Unión, Librilla, Lorca, Lorquí, Los Alcazares, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia, Pliego, Puerto Lumbreras, Ricote, San Javier, Santomera, Torre Pacheco, Ulea and Villanueva del Río Segura.
