The Minister of Development and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, and the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, visited this morning the construction of the new roundabout on the regional road RM-332, which facilitates access to the multi-sport complex Media Legua And which are expected to end before Easter.
The budget of these works is 258,371 euros.
Rivera highlighted the "great importance" of this roundabout for the locality, which "will significantly improve the road safety, traffic flow and comfort of the thousands of drivers that circulate through it on a daily basis."

The splitting of the RM-332 will take place in a 7.5-kilometer stretch from its connection with the Totana-Mazarrón (RM-3) dual carriageway to Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón.
Improving road safety
The roundabout is built at the height of kilometer point 34.6, where up to the moment there was a T-shaped intersection that hindered the movements and turns of vehicles that wanted to access the sports city of Mazarrón.
The new infrastructure will have an outer diameter of 68 meters, with two lanes around, and 46 meters of inner diameter, and will be compatible with the future unfolding of this stretch of road.
The action includes improving the drainage system to ensure the correct evacuation of surface water, installation of signals and beacons required and urbanization and gardening work inside the gazebo.
