The Council of Festivals of the City Council of Mazarron organized last Saturday the traditional dinner of coexistence with local clubs participating in the carnival that will celebrate their children's and general parades on February 25 and 26.
The event was attended by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, and the councilman of Festejos, Patricio Sánchez.
During this meeting the names of the children's candidates were announced.
The names of Ana Cristina Hernández (musa 2017) and Juan Antonio García (muso 2017) were added by the children aspirants Amaia Hernández for the Barrio de San Isidro, Anayira Vera for the Peña El Tolín, Paula Morales for Caño del Molino, Paola Alcalá of El Salitre and Marina Lardín of De Rosa.
The candidate for the children's muse for 2017 is Christian Catevilla.
Likewise, the costume contest was held with the participation of the different clubs attending the dinner.
Muso Juan Antonio García and the members of the Peña Los Salaitos were winners of the individual and collective awards, respectively.
From February 24 to March 4 Mazarrón will enjoy its carnival with the participation of 40 more clubs and 2,000 comparsistas who will parade through its streets in the three parades included in the program.
The amount of the prizes amounts to a total of 8,150 euros.
There will be three prizes for dance schools and three prizes for schools in the children's parade.
The local clubs will be distributed 4,500 euros in prizes, being awarded the first five.
The three best visiting groups will also receive a distinction with financial contribution.
The gala of Musa's election will be held on Friday, February 24 at the Municipal Pavilion of La Aceña, from 21:30 hours.
In juveniles there will be no more than one muse, being chosen, by joint decision of the rocks for 2017, Ana Cristina Hernández de la Peña La Cañadica.
The muso Juan Antonio Iglesias repeats yet another edition.
There are five nominations for the election of children's muses.
On Saturday, February 25, a parade of children's clubs will take place, starting at 5:00 p.m., with the participation of the Infantile School of Mazarrón, Baile Antonio Jara School, Peña El Tolín, De Rosa, Nursery Fairies and Goblins and The Ampas of the schools Ginés García, La Aceña, Siglo XXI, Infanta Leonor, Francisco Caparrós, Manuela Romero, Miguel Delibes and Bahia.
On Sunday, February 26, from 5:00 p.m., it will be the turn for the local clubs with the participation of El Salitre, El Tolín, Río Amazonas, Titanes & Bahia Sur, Los Guiris are also Mazarroneros, Isidro, Caño del Molino, Ambarela, Ana Ruiz, Percheles Beaches, The Salaitos, Marmará, Salsalá, Terpsícore, La Atalaya and La Cañadica.
For the parade of the visiting clubs on Saturday March 4, also from 17:00, have confirmed their attendance the School of Dance Sandra Tomás Estarlich, Comparsa Faisán, Comparsa Samaná, Kissamba, Calirroe, Campánula, Tymbalia, Mahula , Shambala, Amay, Acay and Break the Rhythm.
The awards ceremony, after the corresponding evaluation of the jury, will take place in the Day Tent at the end of each parade.
