The illustrator of Mazarrón origin, Juan Álvarez, presents this Friday at the Cultural Center of Mazarrón (20:00 hours) his book "Why You Do not Love Me", a literary essay that offers a reflection on macho maltreatment.
The activity, organized by the City of Mazarrón, is included within the set of events scheduled to commemorate the International Day of Working Women.
According to Alfaqueque, "Why do not you love me?"
Is conceived with short questions about "the why", answered in turn with other questions.
These issues come out of the soul of each of the battered women.
The author moves away from the answers;
It leaves in the hands of the reader, the responsibility to answer them, the freedom to interpret.
To illustrate the questions, the author uses his experience as a draftsman, choosing a pencil stroke, clean and with the complexity of the color red, as a dramatic contribution in some cases and passionate and sensual, in others.
Juan Álvarez is a well-known illustrator, habitual sketcher in numerous publications of national circulation like "The Thursday" and "Very Interesting" among others.
In addition, the presentation will also feature the participation of the editor of the publication, Fernando Fernández, the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez and the Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz.
