From March 25 to April 1, 16 students and 3 teachers from CEIP La Aceña traveled to the Italian city of Finale Emilia in what was the third mobility activity of the European Patchwork project within the Erasmus + program.
With this trip, they put an end to an activity that began to be forged in 2013 and that has been developed effectively during these last two years, in which the students of Mazarrón have traveled to Hungary and Italy and that led them to act as hosts , During last October, in the visit to the municipality of students of both countries.
Throughout this last week CEIP La Aceña students have lived and shared experiences in Finale Emilia with their classmates Elvira Castelfranchi from Italy and with students and teachers from the Felsotarkanyi Általános school in Hungary.
They have visited emblematic places like Mantua, "Capital of the Italian culture in 2016";
Ferrara, city with an urban structure dating back to the 14th century;
Venice, also known as the City of canals;
Modena, a city with an important past and home to automotive museums such as Ferrari and Lamborghini that expose the legendary cars and trophies that have made famous to these brands around the world. They have also visited the museum of traditional balsamic vinegar.
Finally Bologna, one of the best preserved historical cities and possessing the second largest medieval old town in Europe.
The experience has been very enriching for the excellent reception offered by the team of Finale Emilia and for the wide variety of activities scheduled: welcome party, cultural visits, games and competitions in the school, meeting with the local band Rulli Trulli and a Tour of the gastronomy of the area, where the pasta and the exquisite sausages of the country have not been lacking.
In short, an unbeatable program.
This type of projects funded by the European Union offer students a unique opportunity to learn new cultures while practicing English, which is the working language of the project.
