The municipal council last Friday approved a project that describes the execution of a beach soccer field next to a beach volleyball on the plot Z-4 EBI of the Special Plan for Sports Equipment of the Middle Legua.

In this way, the City of Mazarrón continues its commitment to project one of the booming sports in the municipality, while opting to ensure its practice in the most optimal conditions without influencing the tourist use of beaches.

The dimensions of the total sand surfaces of each of them are respectively 30 x 40 m and 14 x 22 m for a playing ground of 27 x 36 m and 8 x 16 m.

On the beach soccer field can also be implemented alternatively 1 or 2 fields of beach volleyball for the development of competitions. The playing surface is materialized by means of a layer of 50 cm of sand according to the requirements of NIDE Standards for each One of the sports, on another of 20 cm of gravel separated by a geotextile in order to favor the natural infiltration of the rainwater collected inside the installation. The grounds are surrounded by sidewalks of 2-3 m of width in order to Delimit and contain the sand of the game surface and provide accessibility to the installation.

Likewise, stairs and ramp are defined according to the accessibility regulations to connect the Complex road with the stand and the itineraries accessible perimeter to the fields. The amount of works is 223,139.07 euros, to which must be added 46,859.20 euros of VAT (21%).
