The Sports School of the Real Madrid Foundation in Mazarrón is about to triple the number of students since the agreement began.
In the year 2013 the school integrated 26 students, while in this course are about 70 students enrolled, being in addition 10% of them girls.
The activity is possible thanks to an agreement between the Madrid club, the company Aqualia and the City of Mazarrón.
This Wednesday the students who train weekly in the Sports Complex were visited by a delegation of the Real Madrid Foundation headed by Agustín Herrerín, field delegate of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium who dedicated a loving words of encouragement to the children.
Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Sports of the City of Mazarrón, stressed "the character of a school that instills values ​​and allows sports practice without competitive dyes."
Sánchez encouraged the children to continue having fun practicing the sport they like and starting their leisure time in a healthy way.
Agustín Herrerín was accompanied by Eduardo Agulla, technical director of social-sports schools of Real Madrid, Jonathan Araujo, coordinator of soccer schools of the Real Madrid Foundation and Ana Sanjanbenito, director of communication.
For Aqualia attended by Higinio Martínez, director of the delegation of Levante and Miguel Angel Jiménez, delegate of the company in Mazarrón.
Higinio Martínez thanked on behalf of Aqualia the City Council for the opportunity he has offered "to collaborate in a wonderful initiative that promotes education in values ​​through sport and healthy use of leisure time." 75% of the places offered by this school belong to scholarship children.
The activity is developed in the facilities of the Sports Complex of Mazarrón and is coordinated by two technicians throughout the season.
All this thanks to an agreement signed between the City of Mazarrón and the Madrid club.
After a family photo, a gift of courtesy of the club was given to each one of the students of the School.
