The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, on Friday of Dolores pronounced the Holy Week proclamation of Puerto de Mazarrón in an act that took place, as usual, in the church of San José before the presence of the parson Abel Rosa, the President and vice president of the Cabildo and members of the different brotherhoods.

The Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martinez, made official the appointment of the Nazarene of the Year that this time has fallen on Bartolomé Madrid, a member of the Brotherhood of San Juan.
Antonio Ayala, flamenco cantaor of Cartagena, musically enlivened the evening with interventions in the form of arrows at the beginning and end of an event that has had the presence of members of the government team and the municipal corporation.
The calendar of Holy Week processions in Puerto de Mazarrón will start on Palm Sunday (April 9) at 12:30 pm with the Ramos Procession which, as usual, will start at the hermitage of San Antón del Barrio San Isidro in the direction of the church of San José.
The Martes Santo (April 11) will parade for the second consecutive year the Brotherhood of Former Legionaries of the Region of Murcia.
It will be after the Holy Mass of 20.30 with start and end of the tour in the church of San José de Puerto de Mazarrón.
The brotherhood will shoulder the image of the Crucified Christ.
On Holy Thursday (April 13) at 9:30 p.m., Procession of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and Good Friday (April 14) at 9:30 p.m., Procession of the Holy Burial.
