The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, accompanied by the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, today chaired the ceremony of the flag "Q" Quality Tourism to Playa del Castellar, in Mazarrón.
This badge recognizes the quality of the sand and water from the beach, and the reliability and excellence of infrastructure, access, security and services to tourists.
García Vidal recalled that "currently the Region of Murcia has certified 21 beaches with the Q for Quality, which accounts for 19% of all certified establishments and organizations in the region."
He also stressed that the region ranks third nationally in number of certified beaches after Andalusia, which has 53, and Valencia, with 39.
The municipality of Mazarrón already has two entities or certified public spaces: the beach and beach Castellar Rihuete, both at the Port of Mazarrón.
