They are the twelve members who complete each one of the boats of Asian origin that participate in Dragon Boat, a new modality of canoeing in the rise in recent times.
Those who wish to witness their activity have this weekend the opportunity to see it in La Isla Fun Fest, as the second edition of this festival brings to Mazarrón the Spanish Cup and First Autonomous Regatta of Dragon Boat, organized in collaboration with the School of Candle Necklace.
The test was presented Wednesday by Sports Councilor Patricio Sánchez, along with Mario Rischetti de Grimpola and Sebastián Espín, technical director of the Federation of Canoeing in the Region of Murcia.
According to the organizers the arrival in Mazarrón of more than 180 canoeists, some coming from other communities like Asturias and Andalusia.
On Saturday, May 13 a specific activity will take place with amateur paddlers and already on Sunday May 14, from 9 to 14 hours will be the test of professionals.
The Councilor for Sports of the City of Mazarrón, Patricio Sánchez, has highlighted the number of players participating in this competition and has encouraged mazarroneros and visitors to approach the beach of the island to witness the event.
"Competition also joining the Seventh Bay Cruise of Mazarrón and the Triathlon of Fuente Alamo, thus forming a complete sports agenda during the next weekend," said Sánchez.
