The first edition of the Driza Nautical Program "Todos a la Mar" has successfully completed participation.
600 Primary and Secondary students have developed a didactic unit, included in the subject of Physical Education, focused on the theory and practice of nautical sports.
The activity has been funded by the City Council of Mazarrón and organized in collaboration with the Club of Nautical Activities Grimpola with the aim of promoting sports practice, respect for the environment and training future generations in their own activities that are part of the socio-economic profile of municipality.
The program, which has had great acceptance by the educational community, began in September last year and has linked the students of 6th grade and 4th year ESO.
For this, Grimpola has more than 1,200 places to practice three nautical sports: sailing, kayaking and paddle surfing.
In total, more than 160 hours of nautical lessons (theory and practice) have been taught, with the participation of the 13 educational centers of the municipality.
The activity has been applauded by teachers, students and AMPAs, as well as by institutions.
