Throughout the course they have come every afternoon to CIME classrooms to participate in a socio-educational area subsidized by the Autonomous Community
With a farewell party they ended an entire course of experiences, promoted thanks to the Social Intervention Project with Families and Minors in Situation of Social Disadvantage that has been possible through the collaboration agreement signed between the City of Mazarrón and the Promotion Collective Social "El Candil".
The Councilor for Social Policy, Laura Ortiz, wanted to accompany the children on their last day of attendance to a program that has been carried out in the CIME classrooms in Mazarrón.
Ortiz congratulated the children on the results of the work done and encouraged them to continue to project their concerns.
During these nine months, about twenty children between the ages of 6 and 12 participated in this project, which, from Monday to Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., has given workshops of an educational and playful nature to minors , Especially assisting them in school support tasks, in various subjects.
This recreational-educational space created in Mazarrón during this school year has been made possible thanks to the Collective for Social Promotion El Candil, through a grant awarded by the Ministry of Family and Equality of Opportunities.
The project is aimed at children in situations of social vulnerability or at risk of entering it;
Therefore, the Project has been linked to the Council of Social Policy, which has collaborated with the Collective for Social Promotion El Candil, through the referral and evaluation of minors.
