The Local Board of Red Cross and the City of Mazarrón will develop during July and August a program aimed at adolescents of the municipality with the idea that they can use the leisure time they have in summer in solidarity attitudes and environmental awareness .
The project "Espacio Joven" will allow 30 teenagers to collaborate in the maintenance of the beaches, in the assistance in the adapted bath of people with reduced mobility and in the reinforcement of the advice that at the foot of the beach are provided to the citizens on the bathroom Safe as hydration, sun protection or attention to the signals of rescuers.
The initiative has been presented on the beach of the Mojón by Carmen Navarro, president of the Red Cross in Mazarrón and by Pío Garrido, technician of the Department of Tourism.
Garrido has indicated that ashtrays will be distributed among the bathers during the months of July and August, to avoid that they deposit butts in the sand.
On the other hand, the City Council will offer to the adolescents participating in the project an agenda of leisure activity and culture.
