The Musical Association Maestro Eugenio Calderón with the collaboration of the Mazarrón City Council has scheduled for this month of July a new edition of the Musical Summers "Villa de Mazarrón", a cycle of concerts that is celebrating its fifth edition and that has the objective of spreading the Music of bands and offer to all the neighbors and vacationers an activity of cultural and playful character during three nights of Sunday during the month of July.
The cycle will begin on Sunday, July 16 with the performance of the band of the "Friends of Music Association of Torres de Cotillas".
He will continue on July 23 as the host band of the "Maestro Eugenio Calderón" Musical Association of Mazarrón.
This cycle will close on Sunday July 30 the "Agrupación Musical de Totana".
As in previous occasions, the stage will be located in the Paseo de la Sal of the new Puerto Deportivo de Puerto de Mazarrón, being the entrance totally free and free.
All performances will take place from 21:30 hours.
Publication on the History of Music Bands
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez and the councilman of Culture, Pedro Martínez, received this Monday the president of the Musical Association Maestro Eugenio Calderón, Francisca Ureña and the Cronista Oficia del la Villa, Mariano Guillén, who gave them several copies of a Monographic entitled "History of the bands of Music of the Region of Murcia", publication in which a documentary and graphic tour of these musical entities is realized.
The work has been financed by the Federation of Music Bands.
In it, under the title "The bands of music of Mazarrón, a secular tradition in the history of the Villa", Mariano Guillén relates the musical history of Mazarrón.
In total, six copies were donated to the City Council of Mazarrón, which will be donated to the libraries and the Municipal Archive for consultation.
