Eight blue flags wave from this Friday on the coast of Mazarrón.

The mayor has also influenced the distinction of the thematic award of inclusive municipality also granted by the European Foundation for Environmental Education for the accessibility to its beaches for people with reduced mobility.
Municipality leader in June in increase of hotel occupancy
The director general of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, has influenced the leadership of the municipality in hotel occupancy growth, "having recorded an increase in June of 16 percentage points."
Fernández-Delgado has described this data as "resounding success" for a summer in which a 92% occupancy is expected in the municipality.
Next to Percheles, the other beaches that fly the blue flag are: Rihuete, Puerto, Bahia, Nares, Grande-Castellar, Alamillo and El Mojón.
Six Quality Q flags and three Ecoplaya flags
In addition to the eight blue flags, the municipality counts this summer with six Q flags awarded by the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE).
The beaches of Rihuete, Castellar, Nares, Junta de los Mares, Bolnuevo and Bahía will wear this summer a badge that recognizes the quality of the services and infrastructures they offer to the citizen.
To this are added the three Ecoplaya flags that this summer are Castellar, Rihuete and Puerto
