On Sunday, July 16, optometrists from the Region of Murcia, along with members of the Red Cross, will be from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. on the Paseo Don Francisco Martínez Muñoz of Puerto de Mazarrón, giving Advice on Visual Health.
Summer is a season that demands greater attention on our habits and awareness of visual health since we are exposed to factors such as more powerful sunlight, sea water or pool chlorine.
Therefore, from COORM, and with the collaboration of La Cruz Roja, we launched the campaign IN SUMMER WE ARE MORE VISIBLE THAN EVER.
During the months of June and July we have toured several beaches in the Region with the objective of talking with swimmers and passers-by about healthy habits, the correct use of contact lenses, the importance of using quality sunglasses to protect us from radiation Ultraviolet or how to avoid eye irritation or discomfort.
They are also handing out merchandising items that help them follow the tips, such as visors, spectacle cords and information polydippets.

Saturday, June 24 - Santiago de la Ribera, Paseo de Colón next to the Nautical Club.
Sunday, July 2 - La Manga, Playa Entremares.
Sunday, July 9 - Eagles, Paseo de la Colonia.
Sunday, July 16 - Puerto de Mazarrón, Paseo Don Francisco Martínez Muñoz.
In order to fulfill the objectives of the campaign, the opticians of the region have been involved so that they are participants and have the necessary materials to collaborate in the function of raising awareness of the importance of taking care of the eyes in summer.
In addition, apart from society, we dedicate part of our actions to the Red Cross lifeguards, offering everyone a graduation in any Sanitary Optics Center they wish.
Because we believe it is important to look after those who work protecting others.
With all this we pretend that the whole world can enjoy the summer more aware than ever before of the importance of taking care of the visual health.
