The free activity 'A heritage of cinema', made by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, returns tomorrow to the Port of Mazarrón and can be visited on Thursday and Friday from 20:00 to 24:00 hours.
This initiative, which is touring the coast of the Region, consists of a traveling tent that houses games with virtual reality glasses on the region's heritage and a summer cinema area, where documentaries on regional heritage will be uninterrupted .
Both the virtual games and the documentaries have been produced by the Integra Foundation, an agency dependent on the Ministry.
In Mazarrón the projections are focused on productions about the locality, with documentaries and recreations about the enchanted city, the archeology of Mazarrón and the history of the locality.
The documentaries deal with issues such as posidonia, the railway system, the tower houses of the Region and the defensive naval system of the Austrias.
The initiative is completed with a tent of more than 24 square meters that has a virtual reality area in which visitors will have two game options, 'The Mystery of Ricote Encomienda', which through tests makes known The architecture of the Encomienda building and its function as the headquarters of the Order of Santiago since its construction in the XV century, and 'The old cathedral of Cartagena', which opens this year and shows how this emblematic building was before Destroyed in the Civil War.
This action is carried out for the second consecutive year due to the success of public of last summer, in which participated more than 5,000 people.
Mazarrón was the locality that more affluence of public registered with near 1.000 visitors.
The objective of this activity, financed with European funds Feder, is to make known the cultural and natural heritage of the Region of Murcia, disseminate the regional heritage on the Internet using digital techniques and offer an attractive and free activity during the summer period .
All documentaries are available on the Internet on the youtube channel 'Un patrimonio de Cine'.
'A film heritage' can be visited on August 8 and 9 in Aguilas and on 10 and 11 August in Isla Plana (Cartagena).
