Municipal employees of the Department of Parks and Gardens have proceeded to prune the ficus located in Rihuete Alto with the aim of avoiding accidents.

In particular, the tree has undergone a pith, consisting of the cutting of all its branches leaving about one-third of its length.

The tree had experienced a high dehydration in the last dates, having lost the elasticity necessary for its wood.

The intervention will cause a new sprouting and a consequent formation of the tree through pruning and a new care.
