The CEIP Manuela Romero of Puerto de Mazarrón will premiere new roofing covers in two of its pavilions after the rehabilitation carried out during the current summer promoted, at the municipal request, by the Ministry of Education and Universities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The works awarded for 59,532 euros have consisted of the recovery of two sloped roofs in the two-floor pavilion that houses dining and aulario and in another pavilion of ground floor used for aulario.
The first of the covers is of 240 m2 and the second of 32 m2.
The work has consisted in the deflashing of gutters and downspouts of fiber cement by a specialized company, following the security protocol that entails this type of tasks.
Next, the dismantling of tiles, support structure of the same and demolition of slats.
Also 7 triangular trusses and metal belts have been placed.
Panels that suppose the final finish of the cover will avoid leaks of moisture and will isolate the pavilions thermally.
New gutters and downspouts in lacquered aluminum in white will provide greater strength and durability, also offering an integration with the surroundings of the facade.
The works have been executed by the company Construcciones Coy, based in Mazarrón.
Patricio Sanchez, councilman of Education, visited a few days ago the state of work that began in mid-July.
The Municipality of Mazarrón finishes in the rest of educational centers of the municipality the improvements for the new school year.
In the next dates, the Councilor for Services, Domingo Hernández, will detail the content of the same.
