Mazarrón has recently begun work on improving the municipal sanitation network carried out by Aqualia, a local water management company.
These works will last six months in total and will extend to Puerto de Mazarrón and the urbanization of Camposol.
The works pertaining to the Investment Plan consist in the renovation of the sewage networks which, either due to age, diameter or insufficient slope, no longer fulfill the necessary function to ensure a good service.
In Mazarrón the works are realized in the street Pi and Margal, Square of the Convent, streets Isaac Peral and Canalejas.
In Puerto de Mazarrón the performances are contemplated in the street Pensamientos, Plaza Aneto, Kilimanjaro street, Cartagena street and Mar street of Moluccas.
The works carried out Aqualia have a total budget of 916,000 euros and are scheduled to end in February next year in Camposol.
The actions in this urbanization will consist in the installation of a collector of almost 800 meters that will run through the zone of green space that separates sectors C and D. The collector will lead the waters to the station of pumping of residual waters and from there to the Water treatment plant
In addition, Camposol contemplates the conditioning of two wastewater stations, placing new pumps, electrical installation, emergency generators, more conditioning of the environment and fencing of the enclosure of the pumping station.
